Dr. R. P. Singh
Dr. R.P. Singh, Ph.D Agricultural Extension from Indian Agricultural Research Institute, Pusa, New Delhi is one of India’s most accomplished agricultural scientists and educationist. Dr. R.P Singh is the Chairman Emeritus of IKF Technologies Limited. He has to his credit over 105 scientific research publications in recognized scientific and professional journals. He has authored/edited 6 books, and 115 technical papers and participated in many national and international conferences and presented several papers. Over 23 M.Sc. and 17 Ph.D. students received degrees under his Chairmanship.
Dr. Singh served the Indian Agricultural Research Institute, the foremost Institute in India in the fields of research, higher education, training and extension as Senior Extension Officer and In charge of Field Advisory Unit looking after field extension activities of the institute, rendering technical advice and guidance to farmers, extension workers, subject matter specialists and others in matters concerning agricultural/rural development. He remained actively involved in planning, organization, execution, supervision, coordination, monitoring, evaluation and reporting in respect of agricultural extension programmes like Operational Research Projects and Lab to Land Programme undertaken by the Institute. These programmes aimed at promoting large-scale adoption of the new technology generated by the Institute, particularly with respect to high-yielding varieties of different crops and their recommended package of practices and multiple cropping under assured an limited input conditions with added emphasis on oilseeds, pulses and vegetables.
Among other extension activities Dr. Singh remained actively involved in the organization of Agricultural Science Fairs and production of extension literature for the use of mainly extension workers and farmers. Besides teaching, research and extension work, Dr. Singh’s major responsibility had been on planning, organizing, coordinating and conducting training programmes for senior level officers, subject matter specialists, extension workers, farmers and others directly or indirectly concerned with agricultural/rural development. He has directed/ coordinated more than 50 training course including some international courses.
Dr. N. K. Jain, former Vice Chancellor, Rajasthan University
Dr. N. K. Jain, one of the most prolific and prominent educationist and academic administrator of the country has a life time experience of setting up various institutions, colleges, universities and has been instrumental in spearheading many first time initiatives in the field of education. Former Vice Chancellor of Rajasthan University and recipient of many international and national awards and recognitions including International Association of Educators for World Peace, affiliated to United Nations- ECOSOC, UNDPI, UNESCO, UNCED, UNICEF, Huntsville, Alabama, USA awarded "Lifetime Achievement Award" 13-14 March, 2008, Jain Anusheelan Kendra and Trilok Higher Education Studies & Research Institute, Kota awarded degree of "Shiksha Bhushan” 8-10 March, 2008, Hon. Colonel conferred by the Director General, NCC, Dr. Meghnad Saha Award given by the Indian Institute of Oriental Heritage, Kolkata, Gold Medal awarded by Vinoba Bhave University, Jharkhand for services in Higher Education, Dr. Jain epitomizes a true visionary and practitioner of life long education. He has had significant working relationships not only at academic but also at administrative levels at the State and Govt of India level.
A teacher, researcher, author, writer and role model, Dr. Jain is continually guiding and assisting many prestigious institutions including several universities and technical institution in various capacities.
Dr. Jain is now committed to contribute further in improving the reach and access of modern day education, especially vocational education to more distant and rural space of the country and is the guiding force behind Mission Rural India initiative to launch this University Project. As the Vice Chancellor Designate of the proposed Virtual Global University, the University certainly stands to gain from his rich experience both as academician and administrator and will succeed in creating new benchmarks in inclusive education which is the prime need of the country.
Dr. F. C. Raghuvanshi
Prof. F.C.Raghuvanshi, a veteran educationist, teacher, administrator, author and mentor of international repute has about three decades of experience in teaching and management of educational institutions. A celebrated teacher awarded with National Recognition as ‘Best Teacher’ Dr. Raghuvanshi has published a series of significant research papers, articles and has rendered invaluable services in framing the course guidelines, course curriculum, guiding research students and shaping the course of education for about three decades.
A man on mission, Dr. Raghuvanshi has dedicated his life in helping his students perform in their chosen field by igniting their inner faculties of intellect and intelligence and has been constantly striving hard to set higher and higher benchmark for excellence in teaching. Having served on various forums and committees and boards both at School, College and University level, Dr. Raghuvanshi adds tremendous experience and support to Virtual Global University in establishing it as a Centre of Excellence for serving students and society in a manner that meets the dynamics of the present era.
Dr. N. K. Agarwal
Dr. N. K. Agarwal is a versatile educationist with diverse interests beyond academics. Having served many prestigious educational institutions in different capacities and having contributed immensely towards establishment, management and extension activities of several Govt. policies and programmes including social campaigns and social empowerment activities, Dr. Agarwal’s has over three dacades of in-depth experience in the field of Education, Research. Field Work, Monitoring, Evaluation Project preparation and implementation and NGOs activities. Sound educational and social understanding, establishment and development of schools and colleges and setting skills. Energetic, action and result oriented professional, Proactive team member as well as individual contributor.
Dr. Agarwal has been actively associated with numerous educational institutions in the State of Rajasthan and his association with Virtual Global University is definitely a very positive step in building and managing the required physical and intellectual infrastructure of the institution apart from actualizing the greater vision of the Mission Rural India team.
Shri Rajesh Kumar Gupta
Mr. R. K. Gupta is an Associate Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) and the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India (ICWAI). He visions to contribute to the Education sector which is a high – growth industry serving a demographic explosion as millions of children seek learning opportunities. He has over 18 years post qualification experience in the field of Law, Finance & Accounts. Throughout the decade he was catering professional advisory services and related secretarial services relating to Corporate Laws, Securities Laws for listed companies including SEBI matters, FDI & Foreign Exchange Laws, Legal Contracts & Litigations, Liaison for Govt. Approvals, setting-up of New Businesses etc.
